Poochie Bennish has known only one position at the end of every week since the World Championship of Fantasy Football Main Event playoffs began in Week 13.  He's been the only person to be able to look at the standings on Tuesday morning and see his name atop the leaderboard, in quest of the $300,000 cash award and title of World Champion of Fantasy Football.

And tomorrow morning won't be any different for Poochie Bennish and his squad, Fantasy Papa, surviving by the slimmest of margins.  Only .85 of a point seperated Fantasy Papa from Ray Ray's Revenge, owned by Robbie Brown.  That's right, less than one single point; meaning one single reception more, ten more yards rushing, 20 more passing yards, 10 yards receiving......less than one single point and Ray Ray's Revenge would have claim to the most prestigious title in fantasy sports.

In a game that appeared to be over, on multiple occassions, it was a decision by Chicago Bears Head Coach, Lovie Smith that ultimately decided Robbie Brown's fate.  In overtime, on 3rd down Smith elected to attempt the game winning field goal, just in case the snap was mishandled, which would allow his team another chance at ending the game on what would then be 4th down.  As a result, Robbie Brown and his running back Matt Forte weren't afforded the chance to pick up the final .85 points needed to assume the top spot.

The 2008 World Championship of Fantasy Football season was so good, it couldn't be contained in regulation in both of the final two games.  Both games needed overtime to decide the outcome and the result was a fantastic finish in the WCOFF Main Event.

**The Official WCOFF results will be released on Friday, December 26th after the statistics for Week 16 have been validated.

December 28 - Only seven fantasy football teams have ever experienced the exhilaration that comes from being declared the best in the world. And this isn't a self proclaimed distinction, to be the best in the world means you've outlasted hundreds of the best fantasy football owners to win the World Championship of Fantasy Football. Poochie Bennish was the most recent to accomplish the feat until this evening when the NFL Week 16 is scheduled to come to a close when the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears put a wrap on the 2009 WCOFF Main Event season.

Eight hundred and seventy six teams started the 2009 World Championship of Fantasy Football Main Event in pursuit of the title of World Champion and the $300,000 that accompanies being the best of the best in fantasy football. Seventy three leagues consisting of 12 teams each are competing for their league title over the first 13 weeks with league champions and forty four wild card teams advancing to the Main Event Championship Bracket. To take down the title of World Champion and the riches that come with it requires being one of the 117 teams advancing to the Championship Bracket.

In what will go down as the greatest Main Event finish in the seven year history of the World Championship Fantasy Football, Poochie Bennish and Fantasy Papa survive late run by Ray Ray's Revenge.
