Draft Schedule

Friday, September 11th

11:00am CST - Draft Masters
                      Join defending champion, Joe Conte, in the most strategic draft day experience available.
                      The Draft Masters truly tests your skill at the draft and here's why:

  • 25 round draft

  • No in-season waiver wire transactions (free agent pickups)

  • You don't have to set your starting line up each week. The computer will optimize your starting lineup each week resulting in the highest score possible for your roster

  • Accumulate points for the full 16 week season and the team with the most points wins the league award.  The top three teams will receive awards.

3:30pm CST - $1K Auction Championship

  • Each team in a league will play all other teams in that league once over the first 11 weeks of the NFL season.  That 11-game schedule will constitute the WCOFF Auction Division regular season

  • Week 12 of the NFL season will determine each “Auction Division” league champion by means of a single League Championship Game. The two participants in the League Championship game will be 1) the team with the best record vs. 2) the remaining team with the highest point total.  Each of the League Champions advances to the WCOFF “Auction Division” Playoffs.

  • All League Champions and 10 wildcards will qualify for the Championship Bracket Playoffs.  

Saturday, September 12th

12:00 pm CST - 8th Annual Main Event

  • Each WCOFF participant will be randomly assigned to a 12-team league in late August or early September. Participants in each league will be chosen randomly by GridIron Fantasy Sports LLC or a surrogate and overseen by an independent agent. Participants will be notified of their league placement in advance of the Draft.

  • The World Championship of Fantasy Football (WCOFF) will consist of up to 100 leagues, each composed of 12 teams/managers. The WCOFF regular season will extend from NFL Week 1 through NFL Week 11. Each league will hold a League Championship Game on NFL Week 12. All league champions and 44 wildcard teams will qualify for the playoffs

  • Up to 100 leagues will hold their Draft on Saturday, September 12, 2009.  Each league will be composed of 12 teams, and each draft will last for 20 rounds, with each team selecting a player in each round in a serpentine fashion (team 1 through team 12, team 12 through team 1, team 1 through team 12, etc.). There are no rules governing the number of players to be drafted at each position. It is up to the skill and draft strategy of each team owner to decide.  View the 2009 WCOFF Main Event Rules HERE

5:00 pm CST - $25K Platinum League

  • The World Championship of Fantasy Football (WCOFF PLATINUM DRAFT) will consist of 12 teams/managers. The WCOFF PLATINUM DRAFT regular season will extend from NFL Week 1 through NFL Week 14.  Each league will hold League Championship Playoffs during NFL Weeks 15-16. 

  • The league will be composed of 12 teams, and the draft will last for 20 rounds, with each team selecting a player in each round in a serpentine fashion (team 1 through team 12, team 12 through team 1, team 1 through team 12, etc.).  There are no rules governing the number of players to be drafted at each position.  It is up to the skill and draft strategy of each team owner to decide.

  • The WCOFF PLATINUM DRAFT will have a 14-week regular season, going from week 1 to week 14.  This is a head-to-head league.  The League will be broken up into 3 Divisions (A, B and C).  Each team will play the three other teams within its own division two times during the regular season, while playing the remaining teams (8) exactly once.  Standings for the regular season will be based on head to head records throughout 14 weeks. The top 4 teams at the finish of the regular season will advance to the league playoffs.
