What is the format for the World Championship of Fantasy Football?

Up to 100 leagues will hold their Draft on Saturday, September 12, 2009. Some leagues will draft in Las Vegas, NV. Others will draft in Atlantic City, NJ or other regional draft locations as introduced. Each league will be composed of 12 teams, and each draft will last for 20 rounds, with each team selecting a player in each round in a serpentine fashion (team 1 through team 12, team 12 through team 1, team 1 through team 12, etc.). There are no rules governing the number of players to be drafted at each position. It is up to the skill and draft strategy of each team owner to decide.

When will information regarding the 2009 WCOFF be available?

Details surrounding the 2009 WCOFF are available at http://www.wcoff.com/. Download the entry form from the web site and submit the appropriate entry fee and you will be reserved a position in the Premier Event in Fantasy Sports.

Who is eligible to participate in the World Championship of Fantasy Football?
The WCOFF is open to individuals (both participants and co-managers) who are 21 years of age or older and are legal residents in a jurisdiction in which the contest is permitted. Void in the states of Montana, Vermont, Iowa, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, and North Dakota, and elsewhere where prohibited or regulated by law. Employees and immediate family members of GridIron Fantasy Sports LLC, are not eligible to win awards. It is also a condition of participation requirement that each participant has internet access in order to manage his or her team throughout the duration of the WCOFF contest. GridIron Fantasy Sports LLC may decline eligibility to any participant at its sole discretion. GridIron Fantasy Sports LLC is not responsible for any loss or liability incurred by any participant or co-manager denied eligibility, including but not limited to travel expenses, hotel expenses, time taken off from employment, and the like nor for any violations of the law by participants or their co-managers

Can I have a co-manager from Arizona, Louisiana, Arkansas, Montana, Iowa, Vermont, or North Dakota?
Yes, co-managers may be from any state. But we are voiding applications which indicate the principal participant is from one of the seven aforementioned states.

What are the payouts for on line satellite leagues?
Each Satellite league has a slightly different schedule. Go Here to view the entire prize payout schedule for the various WCOFF formats available

Can I bid multiple amounts on the same free agent?
No, you can only bid one amount on a given free agent.

Can we set up conditional bids?
You can set up conditional bids based on previous players awarded. In other words, you can bid on 3 wide receivers but have an exception to not select the last 2 if the first and/or second wide receivers have already been awarded to you.

How much FAAB money do I have for the season?
The free agent system will be a “blind bidding” process. Each team will start with 1,000 free agent “dollars” for the season, and will be permitted to bid for free agents on a weekly basis. No team will be informed of any other team’s free agent bids until after the winning bids have been awarded. A team owner will no longer be able to bid on free agents once their season long waiver wire cap of $1,000 has been reached.

What is the waiver wire deadline?
The bidding process starts after the completion of Week 1 and ends prior to Week 11 on Friday, at 8 pm ET. Bids will be accepted on the league web site from Tuesday at 9 am ET until Friday at 8:00 pm ET in each of these weeks.

How are free agent bids prioritized in the Main Event leagues?
Bids are prioritized by dollar amount. Awarding of free agents begins with the highest bid by any team for a free agent. Once that free agent has been awarded to the winning bidder, all other bids for that free agent are discarded as losing bids. Then the highest remaining bid by any team for any remaining free agent will be considered.

I'm tied for the division title at 8-3, beat the team tied with me, but he has more points who gets in?
The two participants in the League Championship game will be 1.) the team with the best record vs. 2) the remaining team with the highest point total.

Tiebreakers for the best record in each league after 11 games are:
1.) Total points during the regular season
2.) Head to head won/lost record
3.) Total quarterback points (starting QBs week 1 through week 11)
4.) Total points in weeks 10 & 11
5.) Coin toss

How are ties broken in the waiver wire process?
If there is a tie, the team that receives the player will be determined in order by: worst total points.

When I place a bid, it says bids must be in whole dollars?
Place all bids in whole dollars, but do not use a decimal (correct– 15) (incorrect – 15.00)
