The GridIron 10K League features one of the most interesting draft formats available in the WCOFF Schedule of Events. 12 teams will determine their draft order through a live auction bidding on the first 24 draft picks, comprising rounds one and two. Robert Rose, Soldierfish, purchased the #1 pick for the second consecutive year at a price of $2,700. Not surprisingly, Rose selected LaDainian Tomlinson with the #1 overall pick. The bidding resumed and Eddie Gillis was the next to step forward with a $1,600 bid and his selection of Brian Westbrook.
The 2007 Auction Champions Brad and Tim Kruse, Fantasy Assasins, saw an opportunity on the board with Adrian Peterson still available. After a winning bid of $1,100 the Kruse brothers had their player. The bidding process continues until the first 24 selections are made. Teams then complete the draft in a traditional serpentine style.

Just as in the WCOFF Main Event, up to a 1,000 dollars are available for Free Agent bidding throughout the year. The difference is the $1,000 is real money in the GridIron 10K league. All FAAB contributions are applied to a prize pool that is awarded to the weekly high scoring teams throughout the season.
