The 2009 World Championship of Fantasy Football annually recognizes it's 24 of the top fantasy football teams in the world with an invitation to participate in one of two WCOFF Invitational Leagues. The participants in these two leagues represent the very best of the best in fantasy sports with accomplishments to back up their claim as an elite fantasy player.

In addition to the fame and fortune that accompanies the title of World Champion of Fantasy Football, one of the most appreciated and savored benefits a champion in the WCOFF enjoys is the chance to compete in the WCOFF Invitational League. Champions of the Super Satellite League, World Online Championship, Draft Masters or 1K Auction are among those invited to compete against past Main Event Champions, Highly Ranked Fantasy Players and of course - the reigning World Champion.

In 2007, Steve Perkins and Dean Bryson made a splah in the World Championship of Fantasy Football by capturing the inaugural Super Satellite Competition. They returned in 2008 and nearly repeated their feat from 2007, qualifying two teams into the Super Satellite sweet 16. After both teams lost in the first round of the Super Satellite playoffs, one team losing to the eventual champion, Frank Nunes, the duo of Steve Perkins and Dean Bryson turned their focus to the WCOFF Invitational League where they were contending for another WCOFF Championship.
